Default Pets Underfoot

Is anyone else having the problem of pets getting in the way of enemies? My W/R only uses her Ranger seconadry for the pet, but I'm considering dropping the pet as well because it has this EXTREMELY aggrivating habit of getting between me and the baddies.

Now, this isn't an incurable problem, but I'm accustomed to C+spacebar'ing to attack enemies, and when my character doesn't automatically attack, it takes me a second or two to notice, especially in close quarters. More than once that second or two has been the deciding factor in whether the party mate that that enemy was attacking dies or not.

Same problem basically

theres been numerous posts about this. most people do find it annoying. especially when you get half your party stuck right next to a painful enemy coz of your pet... hehe oops.

Yes, I have had this happen to me with henchmen as well. Collision detection in this game is a little too harsh considering how locked down some areas are and that a choke point could literally cause you to get stuck between a rock and a hard...err henchmen/pet. Another thing it causes problems with is that henchmen sometimes get stuck on NPC's or objects and fall behind, which eventually could lead to you dying and not being able to resurrect....ever. So you are forced to map travel and lose all progress.

This leads to another request I have:

Implement a /respawn command or allow us to give commands to henchmen, control henchmen, or kill henchmen. One of those 3 things could fix the problem, with the first option being the best in my opinion.

Having played both sides, a ranger with a bow doesnt usually have any issues with this, but if your using a melee weap, sword, axe hammer...yea, its frustrating. In fact thats why im a ranger/warrior now instead of a warrior/ranger, got fed up with the pet even though I wanted to keep him.

Yes, this is a problem with any "following NPC", including little Gwen. Numerous were the times she trapped me in the geometry by accident for a while until she got bored with that and started twirling around or scampered off.

Of course, if you make it so players can run through NPC's then it changes the dynamic of "chokepoints" and combat strategies when using NPC's. So the solution may not be as simple as first glance would lead you to believe.

Not quite the same thing you're talking about... but, umm... Pet's are completely USELESS vs the mursaat, i personaly think you should be able to "Infuse" their fur, or something, for the lizards, infuse scales... and such... i had a ranger with a pet, and it's pretty annoying when i have mostly beast mastery skills and a perfect set up for it... and then have to change late game, just because of some godlike spell...

Add infusion to pets armor lvl's! Foo dang!
